Six weeks ago we posted info about the Digital Public Library of America [DPLA] project announcing plans for a “Beta Sprint” to “encourage the development of demonstrations of what such a service might look like.”

The deadline to submit a “Statement of Interest” ended last week and now you can review the 60+ submissions on the DPLA Wiki.

The list of people and organizations submitting statements of interest is a very impressive “who’s who” of the digitization, digital preservation, archive, and library worlds.

We’ve also created a page where sprinters can list specific technical, design, or other needs they have in order to connect with community members who may be able to help meet these needs: http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/dpla/Beta_Sprint:_Specific_Needs/Ways_to_Contribute
